Our primary mission is to evoke healing and wellness through proven therapy and treatment for you or your loved one undergoing an addiction treatment program.
Our licensed physicians and nurses are crucial in fulfilling our mission at Evoke Wellness at San Marcos—they are just a part of our team’s efforts. We have a diverse group of behavioral health professionals on our team who are dedicated to helping patients in their recovery. Our team comprises psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, and other medical professionals who work together with our patients to construct a plan that meets their unique needs. Our team includes individuals who have personally gone through the recovery process and are now committed to supporting you on your own journey.
Alexandra Luna
Director of Human Resources
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Alexandra has worked in the Human Resources field for over 5 years and substance abuse related work for 3 years. Her passion to connect and aid the public in the recovery process has always held a special place in her heart. Alexandra can best be described as Confident, Resourceful, Passionate and Committed.

DeParis Stokes
Director of Nursing RN, NHA, SWOC
DeParis was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He and his family moved to San Antonio, Texas more than 12 years ago. He loves the area and all that it has to offer. He has been a nurse for 32 years serving in various capacities from bedside to management, providing quality healthcare and Rehabilitaion. His sound judgement and excellent Communicaton skills will be key in promoting harmonious interpersonal relationships among patients, families and staff.

Monique Abb
Case Manager
Monique was born and raised in the small town of Crockett Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Texas State University in the fall of 2020. She is working towards attaining her master’s in social work at Texas State. She has been in substance abuse and mental health treatment for 4 years. She began working as a Behavioral Health Tech primarily with Veterans and first responders to which she learned a great deal about how to best serve underrepresented populations. Monique eventually worked her way up to becoming the BHT lead for Evoke Wellness as she managed the floor and team under the clinical director. She has previously worked in schools as a case manager with the group Communities in Schools.
Monique’s interests involve reading, getting to know others, playing board games, being around animals, and traveling. She is passionate about helping others and working to create an effective change in the lives of those she works with.
Lauren DeChant MS, MFT
Primary Therapist
Lo is a graduated summa cum laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX where she got her master’s in counseling with her specialization as a Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapist. She has her bachelor’s in nursing from Mount Mary University in Wisconsin where she graduated magnum cum laude and was chosen to be in Sigma Theta Tau which is the National Honors Society of Nursing. She has worked in different types of hospital settings but then specialized in Detoxification Nursing for over 5 years. She found a passion in helping people with addiction issues but wanted more to give to her patients hence she pursued her dream to become a therapist. Now she is able to work more collaboratively with clients and engage with this population more in depth and truly support them with their addictions and underlying issues. Lo has worked with Sunrise Rehab and Rehabilitation/ Evoke Wellness during her last two internships and is now an MFT Associate Clinician. Lo has an interest in animal-assisted counseling, play therapy with children, alterative medication research for mental health, and working with human trafficking victims. Outside her clinical role Lo appreciates reading history books and going on adventures in nature with her dogs and partner.
